Meet Brandy | The Story Behind Heritage House
The Story Behind Heritage House
Hi, I’m Brandy ❤️
I never dreamed that learning to play Mahjong would lead me here.
I fell in love with the game pretty quickly — and I definitely fell in love with the tiles. The colors, the designs, the little details… all of it.
But then I fell in love with something else too.
What happens around the table.
The laughing. The talking. The friendships. Putting the phones down for a little while and actually spending time together.
I loved it so much that I started teaching other people to play. And then I got to watch them fall in love with it too.
Somewhere along the way, this little thought popped into my head…
What if I made my own tiles?
And if you know me, you probably know what happened next. 😂
That little thought turned into sketches and ideas and changing my mind about a hundred times. I obsessed over colors and tiny details. I questioned whether I could actually do it.
And I prayed about it.
Every time I wasn’t sure what the next step was, God seemed to open another door.
So I kept going.
And somehow that little “what if” became Heritage House of Mahjong.
I think that’s why this feels so personal to me. It brings together so many things I love — creating, designing, beautiful details, Mahjong, and most of all, bringing people together.
Of course I want you to open your Heritage House tiles and think they’re beautiful.
I want you to LOVE them.
But then I want you to get them out and play with them.
Play with your friends. Teach someone you love. Bring generations together around the same table. Take them to Thanksgiving. Start a tradition. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Stay around the table way longer than you planned.
Make memories with them.
Because years from now, when you pull those tiles out again, you probably won’t remember who won that night.
But I bet you’ll remember who was sitting across the table from you.
And that’s really what Heritage House is about.
Beautiful tiles. People you love. And memories you get to keep.
I still can’t quite believe something that started as an idea in my head is going to be sitting on tables in other people’s homes.
That’s pretty special to me.
Thank you for being here at the beginning. ❤️
With love,
Xoxo
